We start with stabilization: sleep routines, grounding skills, and a safety plan for spikes. Next, we address moral injury, grief, and family dynamics, followed by skills for work and school transitions and healthy communication at home. Most clients begin with weekly 50 to 60 minute sessions, then taper as stability grows. You will leave each visit with clear next steps and practice plans so progress continues between appointments.

Active Duty Military & Veterans Counseling
Service changes everything, from training tempo and deployments to the return home. You may notice hypervigilance, sleep disruption, moral injury, grief, or strain in marriage and parenting. Crossroads Counseling Center offers culturally aware counseling for active-duty service members, veterans, and National Guard and Reserve personnel. Care is available in our Lexington, South Carolina, office and by secure telehealth statewide. We focus on practical tools for PTSD symptoms, transition stress, anger, and relationship repair so you can regain steady routines at home, work, and school.
You don't have to fight this alone.

How We Treat Active-Duty & Veterans
Treatment plans may include trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) for values-driven action, mindfulness and somatic skills for body calm, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) informed strategies for arousal and anger. When appropriate, we use supported exposure to rebuild confidence and reduce avoidance. With your consent, we can coordinate with community providers, chaplains, or Veterans Affairs clinicians.
